4.2.2 Autonomous Regions or Municipalities and Social Entities

In some Autonomous Regions and municipalities there are Anti-discrimination Centres that you can contact to find out your rights and the procedures to report or fight a discriminatory act regarding disability, gender, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religion.

There are also specific associations working to fight racism and discrimination who have services for information, guidance and reporting.

These offices and/or services offer:

• complaints office
• social support
• legal advice
• psychological support

If your municipality does not offer this type of service, contact Social Services or specialized associations such asSOS Racismo or Movimiento contra la Intolerancia.

If you are an immigrant and you have decided to live in Spain:

- You become a member of the Spanish society.
- You shall assume the rights and duties that the Spanish law establishes.
- You are protected by the law in situations of discrimination and you are recognized the principle of equal treatment and opportunities.
