3.8 Education Sphere
Education in Spain is compulsory from the age of 6 to the age of 16. Therefore, children within those ages must enrol in a school. Failure to do so is considered a crime.
If you are over 18 you should know that legal resident aliens are entitled to:
- Non-compulsory education (High school diploma, Vocational Training, University, School of Languages, etc.)
- Obtaining the corresponding degree
- Accessing the public scholarship system under the same conditions as Spaniards do
